Fasteners for Timber Frame Construction

Our pegs are manufactured specifically for traditional joinery. Pegs are Red Oak with other species available on special orders, and are 1/64″ oversized for a snug fit. All have a chamfer on one end that helps get the peg started. Pegs should be stored in a cool, dry place as they can shrink or swell depending on the humidity in your area.

Nail Base Panels for Roof Insulation

Wooden Nail Based Panel DiagramDesigned especially for exposed beam roof systems, R-Wrap Panels are a combined, one-step application of roof insulation and sheathing. These easy-to-install panels will keep your whole household warm.

OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is laminated to thick expanded poly-styrene foam into a whole unit. The panel is then systematically nailed into the decking and timber rafters.

R-Wrap Panels are designed especially for exposed beam roof systems as a combined, one-step application of insulation and sheathing. Expanded Polystyrene Foam (EPS) contains no CFCs that hurt the ozone, and will also protect the environment with an efficient blanket of roof insulation.

Measure your Tongue and Groove Roof Decking Coverage

Before you order, you’ll need to do a little math to know how much wood you’ll need for coverage. To calculate your tongue & groove roof decking coverage, first measure the area of the space you wish to cover. Then, use this equation to calculate full amount of decking required, plus the 10% extra tacked on for milling and waste.

Coverage in Board/Ft = Area ft2 x Thickness of Decking (2 for 2×4, 3 for 3×6, etc.) x 1.25

Ex: How much is needed to cover 1000ft2 of 3×6 decking?
1000SF x 3 x 1.25 = 3750 Board Feet.
